EVENT SUMMARY:

Running a successful remodeling business in Arizona means staying ahead of changing laws—not reacting to them after the fact.

Join us on February 24 for an important chapter meeting featuring Chance Peterson, General Counsel for the Arizona Registrar of Contractors (AZ ROC). This timely session will cover the latest updates from the 2026 Legislative Session, including a review of agency-backed bills and the current status of legislation that could impact licensed contractors across the state.

Whether changes affect you directly or indirectly, understanding what’s coming helps you reduce risk, plan ahead, and protect your business. This is a valuable opportunity to hear straight from the source and stay informed in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.

Don’t miss this chance to stay compliant, informed, and prepared.

SPEAKER BIO:

Chance Peterson joined AZ ROC in January 2019 as Assistant Chief Counsel. He was promoted to General Counsel in March 2023.

Chance received his JD in 2014 from the ASU Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he was Senior Articles Editor for Jurimetrics - The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology, and received a Certificate in Law and Sustainability. As a law student, he interned with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the Maricopa County Office of the Public Defender. Upon graduating from law school, Chance was an associate attorney at the ASU Alumni Law Group, and owned his own practice focusing on civil and consumer law.

Chance was born and raised in Phoenix, but has lived, worked and studied in Costa Rica, Australia, Italy, and South Korea. He also worked for Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans, building homes in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. After returning to Phoenix in 2011, he taught high school physics and chemistry before starting law school.
